44th Annual World Series of Poker schedule announced


Caesars Interactive Entertainment revealed yesterday the official schedule for the 2013 World Series of Poker. WSOP 2013 will feature 62 bracelet events, culminating in the flagship $10,000 Main Event.

The 44th edition of the World Series of Poker will kick off on Wednesday, May 29th. Two events will start on the 29th - the Casino Employees No-Limit Hold'em event, and the $5,000 8-handed No-Limit Hold'em event.

There is a few interesting new tournaments this year, like the event #6, called as the "Millionaire Maker". The $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em tournament will have a guaranteed $1,000,000 first place prize.

There will be two One Drop events this year. The first one is the "One Drop High Roller" No-Limit Hold'em event on June 26, that has a $111,111 buy-in. The Rio will donate its 3 percent house fees to the One Drop organization.

On July 3, the "Little One for One Drop" will feature a $1,111 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em special event. The tournament has a unlimited re-entries over two starting days, giving it the potential to be one of the largest events at the 2013 WSOP.

WSOP has also decided to officially permit men in the Ladies Event on June 28. However, all the men who are going to play the ladies event, must pay $10,000 buy-in instead of the standard $1,000 buy-in.

It should also be mentioned, that there will be an Open Face Chinese Poker tournament but it won't be a bracelet event.
