Mike Matusow wins NBC Heads-Up Championship

In what will prove one of the televised poker events of the year, Mike Matusow defeated his best frenemy Phil Hellmuth to capture the NBC Heads-Up Championship.

The Mouth beat Scott Seiver in the semi final, while Hellmuth beat Joe Serock, to set up a legendary final between two of the most outspoken and emotional players in the game.

He defeated Hellmuth for the $750,000 first prize (Hellmuth picked up $300,000 for second), and later said in an interview:

"Yes, it is just a poker tournament, but it means a lot. For guys like me and Phil, where everyone was making fun and upset that the final was us two, 'Oh Phil and Mike, what are they doing in the final?' You know what, we are the old guys, but where are the young players? They're not here. We are."
