Dylan Honeyman won Aussie Millions Event # 7

Dylan Honeyman wins $1,650 No Limit Holdem Bounty ($120,000)

The transition from online poker to live poker is an interesting one. It may be the same game, but it’s an entirely different beast. Many people in the online poker community would be familiar with the name Dylan Honeyman, or better yet by his screen name “WhiteRabbito”. In the live poker world however, Honeyman is virtually unknown. That changed today.

Beginning yesterday with 355 players, the $1,650 No Limit Holdem Bounties would play late into the night until a final table was set. If the eight final tablists were weary from lack of sleep, they didn’t show it as they all fought hard to try and become the champion. Of course, only one player could achieve that and for a long time it was looking like Tam Truong was destined to win.

Managing to claw into a big chip lead during four-handed play, Truong would wander into the heads-up battle having Honeyman well covered. Honeyman wasn’t going to back down without a fight though and would show that all his online poker experience was about to pay off in a big way.

When the final hand of the Bounties eEvent was dealt, Honeyman snagged practically his first, and easily his largest, live poker result to date. That’s not surprising considering Honeyman’s victory sees him take home $120,000 and a prestigious Aussie Millions Gold Ring!
