Gus Hansen won the Career award in GPI European Poker Awards




The famous Aviation Club de France in Paris last night hosted another edition of the European Poker Awards. The first edition held under the umbrella of the Global Poker Index. It was already known that the Player of the Year award went to Marvin Rettenmaier, winner of the 2012 GPI ranking.

In a ceremony presented by Kara Scott and Alexandre Dreyfus (CEO of the Global Poker Index), were not only the premiums relating to the 12th edition of the European Poker Awards were handed. Now with the leadership of GPI were also handed awards to the best players from 9 European countries.

• Best Player - Lucille Cailly
• Online Player of the Year - Jens Kyllönen
• Staff of the Year Poker - Simon Trumper
• Rob Gardner Memorial Award for the Poker Personality of the Year - Kara Scott
• Best Event of the Year - EPT Barcelona
• GPI Player of the Year - Marvin Rettenmaier
• Career Award - Gus Hansen (was not at the ceremony)
